This is another thing that I wonder. Why Americans have never been fans of F1, when most of the people is? (at least most of the people that love car racing, of course).
What could be the reason?
(1) Because they truly believe going round and round in circles is more exciting than driving?
(2) Because Americans can’t follow those selfish Europeans in such matters?
(3) Because Indy is more dangerous than F1? (more people die)
(4) Because American cars can’t compite with Ferrari and other European brands?
Most Americans don’t actually care about either, but IndyCar is a US-based series while F1 is (primarily) European-based. It’s like asking why Americans prefer MLS over some European Football league. If you really follow soccer/football you’re probably a fan of both, but otherwise if you’re a casual fan (or just flipping channels one day), the homegrown series is the one that’s actually shown on TV here.
Hey pinguin, if you want people to engage with you on this message board, it might be an idea not to bait them with inflammatory questions and stupid options like this.
European here: F1 is boring as hell. I don’t doubt that, except for the increased chance of serious injury, Indy Car may be a bit more boring, but once your prepared to watch that level of boring I doubt it makes uch difference.
pinguin, I’ve warned you once already for trolling in this forum. This is another official warning. If you wish to ask questions, don’t do so in this kind of baiting manner. If you post another trolling OP, you will find your posting privileges under review.
pinguin. Don’t clutter up General Questions with OPs that obviously belong somewhere else on this Board. If this was the first time you’d done it, I’d move it. No more.
