Why are my bluetooth headphones clicking?

I bought JLAB bluetooth headphones two months ago. They’re fine when I’m listening to music or a podcast on my cell phone (a Moto G Power), but when I answer or make a call, both the other person and I hear a loud clicking sound. This happens regardless of whether or not I’m using the phone at the time of the call. This also happens when I’m outdoors and nowhere near my apartment.

I tried resetting the headphones and turning off my laptop, my only other device. It didn’t help. I looked online and couldn’t find this exact issue with these headphones, but I’m hopeful a Doper or two has some advice.

Have you tried using the JLab app to install? It may find an update and install.

I had problems with Bose. The buds didn’t like the default Android bluetooth install. I had to use their app.

Thank you so much for replying! I’ve installed the app, but the only headphones option was Go Work, and mine are Studio Pro ANC.
