Every thime some whiner complains about the “oppressive” nature of the moderators here, I want to sentence them to a month of posting only at Yahoo…when they come back here - you’ll never here a peep out of them again.
Is the general internet public really this stupid (and racist as well)? Or are Yahoo Boards basically the flypaper of the net?
Well, it is a general rule that when a site/forum gets popular enough, it gets soon filled with idiots. In some cases, the more intelligent users may leave the boards, unwilling to share them with the said idiots, in which case all that is left on the boards are idiots.
Last I checked Yahoo was rather popular, so this might’ve happened there.
I’ve looked around the Web, and realised that without moderation, boards soon become utterly worthless. Controversies notwithstanding, the SDMB moderation appears to be way better than most.
You right there, some Boards I’ve seen have one thing in common, they’re usually anti semetic, rasict, bad spelling and grammar, or Usually anti-usa, anti-western, Which is pretty Ironic as Westeners developed the technology for them to shout abuse at us :rolleyes:

I wasn’t flaming bad spelling, I actually feel that we have a right to spell words in any manner that we find convenient.
