How is that doing me a favor?

As far as why he was doing you a favor, I’m going to sit comfortably here with my back against the tree, and posit that you were about to find yourself hip deep in alligators AND that you were making fairly ridiculous statements while doing it. Now, if you want to start a GD thread about how women can protect themselves from rape by locking themselves in rooms, have at it. You won’t be the first, nor the last. That conversation doesn’t belong in ATMB though.
I’ll go make some popcorn and grab a beer. You let us know when you’ve got the thread queued up.
If that had been allowed to continue, further comments like this little gem would have most likely earned you a warning.

Why would that earn me a warning? It’s a true fact. Should women do that? Of course not. Doesn’t make it any less true.
What’s the point in making such a statement tho? True but utterly irrelevant to anything.
As a disinterested observer in this particular fight, I’ll just say that you and the other poster were spiraling down a rat-hole of irrelevant bickering. Which is unfortunate because some additional pertinent comments might have been made in that thread. Reading those last few exchanges kind of invited a literal face-palm.

The comments are racist and misogynistic. Here is an official warning for continuing to make said comments even after it has been pointed out to you that they are inappropriate in ATMB.
I strongly advise you to keep racist comments out of ATMB in the future. I also strongly advise you to keep misogynistic comments out of ATMB as well. Either is warnable on its own.

It’s relevant because Banquet Bear said "The claim “it is a simple fact that the woman can reduce her chances of being assaulted significantly by changing her behavior” is not a “simple fact.”
But it is a simple fact. I was disagreeing with him.
If you want to argue about this, take it to GD or the Pit. None of this has any business whatsoever in ATMB.
