You can essentially do this by clicking the arrow next to your finished download and selecting “Always open files of this type.” That way, any file of that type you download in the future will open automatically.
It’s still getting saved to your hard drive though when you don’t really want it. This bugs me about Chrome too, but otherwise I love the browser and use it all the time.
There are some UI things that drive me up the wall. I hate the way Chrome handles bookmarks (both setting them up and displaying them) and if I had a dollar for every time it failed to handle a dropdown properly, I’d have, well a lot of dollars.
And “OK”/“Save”/“Confirm” buttons exist for a reason. Chrome’s lack of those is silly.
I really like Chrome. In my experience its the fastest browser. One issue I did have for awhile was incompatability with Netflix’s streaming video player, an issue I think Netflix has since resolved.
