Why can't I edit my own post?

When I have noticed a typo and have clicked on
the edit button SD tell me I cannot.

This is more of an ATMB question, Rhino. It’s one of a list of disabled features, as shown in the FAQ :

Q: Why can’t I do (some vBulletin action)?

but why do they keep the button “edit” ?

The button is there so that Moderators and Administrators can edit posts.

Since this is an ATMB question that has been answered, I’ll close it rather than move it.
