Not sure if this is the place to get a response but i am just curious why can I not edit my posts well post really.

*Q: Why can’t I do (some vBulletin action)?
A: We have disabled the following features at our message board. Some were disabled because they were abused in the past; some because we thought the usage might become abused in the future; some to protect the privacy of our members; some due to site speed considerations; and some for other reasons. Below is a list of disabled features:
post attachments
e-mail to friend
“rating” threads
editing own posts
deleting own posts
close threads
delete threads
post polls
private messaging
site calendar
viewing who’s online, and IP addresses
avatars
images in post
HTML
displaying logged in users
show users browsing fora
Ignoring of moderators
Members list
“shouting” in titles (all uppercase titles)
Q: In particular, why is editing disabled?
A: Because of the potential for abuse. After posting something inflammatory that causes hurt feelings a poster could change what they had said originally and confusion would ensue. Even allowing editing for a short period of time could cause this issue due to the short interval between posts in a busy thread.*
You can use “Preview Reply” to help try and catch errors beforehand, though in slow periods that can be a drag. Otherwise, best to just carefully edit beforehand on wordpad or some similar program if you have the patience.

I really should just let Tamerlane answer this, but they’re probably named after the same historical figure. A barbarian conquering chief, as I recall, which is a fitting namesake for a killing bot.
