Why Can't I Get Music Videos on YouTube?

So I’m browsing YouTube. And I am trying to get the music video for REM’s “Losing My Religion”. All that pops up are alot of concerts where REM sings this song. But I want the music video itself. I try being a little more direct. “Losing My Religion REM music video” is what I type in. Same problem: plenty of concerts where REM sings this song, no video.

I think to myself, Could this be adware? Unsure at best. I mean, the rest of my computer functions are unaffected. And the search items returned are kind of valid: all REM’s “Losing My Relgion”, which is what I requested.

Now I do realize if I have a computer-related problem I am supposed to go to the thread Sticky: Have a Computer Question ? Read this first.. But I don’t know if I have a computer problem yet. Also, I have a beef with this thread. I am supposed to download some software there. But downloading software I don’t want is how I may have gotten into this problem to begin with:)! If it is a computer problem, I don’t want to do this again. So if it is, I guess my question is, is there anything else I can do?

Thank you in advance to all who reply:)

Copyright. REM or their label is probably asking Google (who owns YouTube) to remove their music videos. Try Yahoo or MTV.

YouTube has been in dispute with Warner Music since last Christmas and can’t show any of their videos. Guess which label REM is signed to?

The good news is I just put [rem “losing my religion”] into Google and the third result is the video clip on Google video.

edit

Reply says “Google (who owns YouTube)”. How odd, since Google Video is still hosting the clip. Guess the dispute only applies to the subsidiary.

Google video just searchs for videos online, you tube hosts the video is the difference there. google therefore cant control what is online elsewhere but it can on youtube. It is possible that the video you found is the one used at yahoo or mtv for example.

Interesting. This one seems to be in better quality, though.

Dunno how long they’ll last, if YouTube is pulling Warner Music videos.

Behold, Yidio!
