I remember reading that they wanted to make enough of them to sustain a compilation video that they could sell retail. But they only made what, two? What’s the deal there?
Three, actually. Apparently, the shorts stopped production because the character was jointly-owned by Disney and Amblin, Steven Spielberg’s company, and he wasn’t willing to continue doing Roger Rabbit shorts after they put one in front of Dick Tracy rather than the Amblin-produced Arachnophobia, according to this article.
The current Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD also has all 3 of these shorts on it.
They DID make a compilation video. I’ve got a copy of the VHS.
And, as Hampshire points out, all of them are on the Who Framed Roger Rabbit DVD.
