Correct. Here is a picture of the front of the Park Ave Armory. Notice the castle inspired look to the facade? Like I mentioned before the back part of the building is the barrel-shaped drill hall. The building is not at all designed for defense. Built in 1880, a few years before the armory in Glens Falls NY 200 miles to the north.
