I think Wiki Answers is competing with Yahoo Answers for the dumbest questions, including “What is Oprah Winfrey” and “Why did Oprah unleash bees on her audience?”
The question is referring to a hilarious .gif that’s been going around the internet which was created from a video that aired on Conan O’Brien that apparently shows Oprah gleefully releasing a huge swarm of bees on a crying audience: Conan Oprah BEES ARE COMING!!!! - YouTube
In the real Oprah clip apparently she was giving away cars to everyone in the audience.
Click on Answer History for further amusement. The answer has been removed many times and added back many times, I think they finally gave up and let it stand.
Well, now, that’s just silly. The answer is obviously bogus. Assuming for the sake of argument that Oprah were to release bees on her audience, the reason she does so is because she’s Oprah. Oprah need not explain herself to the likes of us, and it is not our place to question her motives.
Yahoo Answers held the dumb title for awhile (“How is babby formed? How girl get pragnent?”). Now Wiki Answers is 100x worse, with their goddamn retarded misspelled pictoral format. And as a bonus, it’s a beloved slideshow! (Unanswered question found by clicking Random, also nonsensical) Is this format really necessary?
Yes, I wanted to comment on their horrible new format but apparently it’s beta and they are not showing it to everyone right now. What it does is print each question in a box over top of random stock photos of people, as if the people were asking the questions. It’s really stupid looking, especially with the smattering of nonsensical questions. And to read the answer you have to click a right arrow superimposed over the photo of the person. It’s like a random face book of questions.
“Because Oprah is one of the most powerful women in the world, and she’s finally turned evil. Frankly, you should feel thankful that it was bees and not bubonic plague.”
