The original claim was that not only did the children sleep with him, but so did the kidnapped victim. The story does not support that claim.
Before I made my comment, I checked CNN and NBC, and didn’t see anything about him sleeping with the kids every night. When I first read anson2995’s links, the second one did report the comment, although the first one didn’t. The comment seems to be hit-or-miss in online stories, for some reason.
Perhaps there is some confusion as to whether “sleeping with them in my arms” means “having sex with them.”
The second sentence of the wire story I linked says:
the first link is to the actual audio of the jailhouse interview.
Just to note: I didn’t doubt that the claim was true. However, I didn’t see it in any of the cites given. Not the same thing.
And elbows’ cite was extremely odd. cbs.com is an entertainment site. If he meant cbsnews.com why not just give an actual link?
