Went to a store on May 21. Needed a calendar. All the calendars start in July. WTF?
…
Calendars are made as either 12 months (starting in January) or 18 months (starting in September to coincide with the school year).
There is no market for calendars beginning in May.
Why do you assume it’s two months from the current month, rather than starting at the year’s halfway point?
^ This.
OTOH, how quick do you need it & do you have 12 (13 w/ cover) pictures? Many of the custom/online (Shutterfly, FedEx/Kinko’s, etc) allow you to choose your start month.
It extends the shelf life.
You are too late for calendars that started in January to still be on sale; those were long since sold off in sales right after the start of the year.
A number of calendars these days run either 12 months starting from July, or 18 months starting from July; these allow people who’s lives are governed by the school year to have a calendar that tracks with that requirement. Those are what will be currently available, for the most part.
If you go to a business supply store like Staples or Office Depot, you might still find desk calendars or personal notebook filler calendars that are for 2017.
