Why do cloth lamp shades get small brown spots all over them in a year or two? Even if you don’t use the lights, the shades get all spotted. Even the shades that have plastic over them get the spots. I’m not referring to light bulbs getting too close and burning them.
Does anyone in the house smoke? I grew up in a house with heavy smokers and I remember my mother buying new lampshades every year or so because of the brown spots.
