I don’t know how often it happens, but when you see a cops style TV show where someone is naked and belligerent PCP is usually considered the first drug that would cause it. Alcohol, pot, heroin, coke, meth, lsd, etc. don’t seem to cause this problem.
So what is that all about exactly? I read PCP makes you feel hot, combined with lowered inhibitions could lead to taking ones clothes off.
From reading this link (possibly NSFW due to descriptions of drug use), it seems that a medium dose of PCP causes confusion, agitation, analgesia, fever, excessive salivation, delusions, schizophrenic-type behavior, paranoia, and disordered thinking. The fever + delusions would probably do it.
I’ve read that PCP and other drugs can cause a very unpleasant “crawling” feeling on your skin surface for some people. Possibly removing clothing is some peoples way to try and make that go away.
I’ve tried it, twice. Back in the mid 70’s. Once mixed with pot, and once by itself. I decided that it felt like an evil thing and never wanted to do it a third time.
I found that it changed my perception of physical reality in a very complete and seamless way, and also left me not caring. The memory is old now, of course, but I think I can’t imagine anything I would rule out doing while strongly under its influence. I didn’t do anything regrettable, but don’t think there was any big reason I didn’t.
Mimics psychotic episode. Hallucinations, delusions, total disconnect from reality. They also think they can fly, and endure intense religious-based disordered thinking.
Even some legal pharmaceuticals may affect your perception of hot and cold. When prescribed Vicodin or similar drugs, I’ve noticed my extremities tend to feel chilly.
