Why do some people have to be huge nasty bitches?

It was the shoes. It’s always the shoes. Big green troll looking biatch just knew she’d never squeeze her size 15 in them. Assuming your frock wasn’t emblazened with “I eat babies” that is.

I like to think that there aren’t so much bad people as bad types. Either troubled emotional lives that tend to fall into patterns, or faulty scripts that people live their lives by. I tend to forgive the individual deep down, but it does make me leery of people I feel may be similar types.

Is it possible that the mom was some kind of fundie, thought your dress was scandalously short, and freaked out when her daughter thought this hussy in the red shoes (i.e. you) looked beautiful?

This is a very appealing idea.

You should’ve said, “Thank you, sweetie; now I have to get back to Oz,” clicked your heels together, whirled, and exited, fluttering your hands like butterfly wings. The kid would’ve talked about it for days.

For what it’s worth, I think you’re stunning.

Oh, and I think the mom probably was trying to filter, but did an absolutely horrible job.

As a sidenote, sometimes filtering (not stifling) is a necessary evil. I occasionally have to do it for my son, too. Particularly now that his current obsession is boobs - on the bright side, he calls them books. So when he looks at another woman’s chest and yells “Book!” I can smile and say that he really likes to read.

You’re not alone.

I have plenty of stories, but I don’t want to hi-jack with all my horrible tales.

But you aren’t alone in feeling this way.

Once again…it is time for your daily spanking, LM. Actually, the above comment has nothing to do with your impending spanking, but only as a reference to you, per se. Nonetheless, get over my knee right now, you naughty, naughty, beautiful young lady! :stuck_out_tongue:

lobstermobster, I want your polka-dotted dress!

And your dashing good looks, but I’ll settle for the dress.

thats the dress if you want to see how it actually got transcribed to MS Paint

We’re going to have to see you in it to make a definitive judgment.

From several different angles. For science’s sake, you know.

shut it

Hey, you said you wanted people to be more vocal about their appreciation.

real life people

I swear I’m a real boy. :frowning:

That is exactly what a fake one would say if it wanted us to believe otherwise.

If you think I’m gonna put on the Blue Fairy costume for this one you’re kidding yourself…

Wouldn’t THAT image give a Disney animator nightmares?

From this picture, it was clearly the bow in your hair at the root of the compliment. Shoes? Ha. That doesn’t even make sense. It was the bow.

I wouldn’t take it so hard Lm . That’s the beauty of children. For the most part they haven’t learned how to lie yet and pretty much call it like they see it. It takes years before they really learn how to be hateful. Like the rest of us. Her mom being a good example. So if she said your beautiful, beautiful you are.

I never expected to see you show emotion. Fascinating.

…Aaaand we come full circle, because this post has me asking the OP’s question all over again.
