Like most men, I have no particular love of chocolate, and given the option of a bar of 80% cocoa finest swiss organic fair trade whatever… or say a bacon cheeseburger… I’ll go for the latter any time.
But most women seem to love the stuff, completely irrationally. Any reason?
There’s nothing irrational about it; chocolate is the Food of the Gods. Dark chocolate, anyway. Milk chocolate is too insipid to bother with unless no real chocolate is available.
My wife, on the other hand, dislikes it. Which is fine with me, since that means I get it all.
The reason, as hinted at by above posters, is stereotyping. I know just as many men that lust after chocolate as women. When the women I know play up their relationship with chocolate, it’s because they’re (usually consciously) buying into the “vagina = chocolate love” idea.
I dispute this premise. As soon as you prove it we can go on to find the reason but I believe the premise is false and therefore no reason can be found which would explain it.
Oh, and I love chocolate and whenever I need boobs I need to borrow them from someone who has some.
Big, hairy, heterosexual male here, and I say there are few things on God’s gray earth to compare with chocolate. Dark and milk are both wonderful, though I do tend to prefer chocolate with something in it, as in nuts or some kind of filling, to plain chocolate.
Dude, I don’t know who you’re hanging out with but trust me, most of the men I know love chocolate, and I know many women who don’t care for it much or at all. I agree that your premise is faulty. I don’t really see any gender differences in preference for chocolate.
