For me, it’s milk chocolate, followed closely by dark, with white chocolate in dead last far behind the other two.
Dark chocolate for me please. If I can be extremely specific, I’ll take Valrhona Guanaja 70%. Much more than 70-75% cocoa tends to be just a bit too bitter for my tastes, though Valrhona does have an 85% cocoa bar that’s quite tasty.
I voted “dark”, but only because you forgot “bacon”.
Dark by far. Milk is ok and white doesn’t even register as chocolate to me.
You forgot to make the poll public and have an “I hate chocolate” option so we could identify the freaks and drive them from our midst!
ahem
Dark for me please.
The freaks will still have a voice!
Er, I mean, I don’t like chocolate.
Milk, and the cheap stuff at that. I’ll take a Hershey or Symphony Bar over Godiva or [something else expensive] any day.
Dark for sure, though milk has its place (I still far prefer dark, though).
White chocolate is the most disgusting substance on the face of this planet and I have no idea why people love it so goddamned much. Nothing makes me rage harder than going through the drive thru at Starbucks for my mocha, only to discover-- once I’m at work-- that those fuckers gave me a white mocha. Blech.
You didn’t have to repeat yourself.
Quiet, you!
I like dark chocolate, but I can only handle it in small amounts. Which I guess is the idea, but typically I want a chocolate I can continually snack on.
I like my chocolate like I like my women, white.
Me too. 70% is good (I like Green & Blacks, personally), but I’m pretty sure that the varieties with more than that exist largely for people to brag about liking. They’re interesting/novel in very small doses, but I have trouble believing many people really enjoy them (and I can tell from the faces of some that they definitely don’t).
I like white chocolate best of the three, especially with fruits. White chocolate raspberry mousse = heaven.
Or, you know, people might not be exactly like you. Heck, I can (and occasionally do) buy 85% bars in Kroger. Not exactly a specialty market.
I might be unusual, in that my preference list goes dark, white, milk. I do indeed enjoy extra dark like 85%, though I like regular sweet/semi-sweet chocolate as well. But I also love white chocolate. Even the best milk chocolate is really just pretty good, though.
I’ve always tended to the extreme ends of food spectra. I like beers that are really hoppy or really malty. I like Scotch that’s peaty and Bourbon that’s oaky. I also like living in small towns or big cities. No middle of the road stuff for me!
Not sure what that says about me. Not so big on subtlety, I suppose.
I know white chocolate isn’t really chocolate, and I know it’s total crap, but I like it anyway . . . especially with almonds or coconut.
:::eyes **Asimovian **with distrustful glare::: :dubious:
you, my sister AND my niece. you’ve been assimilated by the borg or something - haven’t you?!?
milk chocolate for me. dark is not lovely. i have no idea what white tastes like.
I’m an idiot who doesn’t know what’s good.
Like my women.
White chocolate tastes like Easter.
