Right now, it’s snowing in my area in Toronto. And for some reason, my dog seems to enjoy barking at it. The couch in the living room reaches the window sill of the living room window and my dog has been sitting on the top part of the couch, just staring and barking at the falling snow. Anyone else’s dog(s) do this, too?
PS: Just FYI, my dog’s a female two-year-old Maltese.
At least she’s barking at something. Mine like to bark for no apparent reason at all.
In my experience, around 2 years old is when dogs really start to get vocal and bark a lot. How much experience has your dog had with snow before? Is it new to her, or is just the barking new? If it’s the former, get her to play around outside a little and see if she gets used to it. My dogs love catching snowballs. It’s even funnier watching them try to figure where the snowball went after they catch 'em
it’s the rainy season and one of my mini dachshunds goes nutsy when it rains. She has now discovered the fish tank and stabs her nose at the glass as the fish swim leisurely by. I’m glad Godska does live here [you, know, the guy that asked the question about feeding his fish his semen…]
I had an Australian Shepherd that would put his open mouth at snow drift level and run through the yard like a canine snow plow. Funniest damn thing. He’d sit a look at you with a mouth and face full of snow and you’d swear he was laughing.
