ok, now I see the other ones.
People sign my Guestbook about once a day. It was like 35 pages & I had to make another one but kept the old one. However, I don’t have any ads or popups either, or heavy graphics, those are things that would keep me from signing a book.
dlgirl: You can call me whatever you want, as long as I can figure out that you are talking to me People call me all sorts of thing, and I can usually get it.
Okay, I finally have a guestbook that works. I had to get a new one, and I don’t like it as much as I liked my old one, but I guess it will do. Now everyone can go back and sign it
I just signed your guest book honey-bunches of oats [sub]can I call you that?[/sub]
No one seems to sign my “Tad the Rubberband Ball Page” guestbook (see LINK in signature). It’s doing well, I suppose, for a sight that isn’t in major search engines. But I sent a link to all my friends, and I have a sign that’s practically begging to sign the guestbook, but nobody does. I’m surprised I have the ones I have.
everyone please form a line,gimme a pen i’ll sign all your guestbooks…
I hope not to sound rude but as someone who does quite a lot of websurfing, I simply haven’t the time or inclination to sign every guest book I come to. When I first started on the web, I signed a few but I rapidly began to feel dopey just writing in some cliche phrase. The same things I’d happily say about it in person look vaguely ridiculous in print, especially when surrounded by multiple other people saying pretty much the same thing. If there’s something truly wonderful or loathesome about a particular site, I’ll consider sending the author an email expressing that, but generally I get the info I want from it and press on.
I conjecture that the majority of web-denizens feel similarly, so don’t take the lack of response as a criticism of your site. Try to see your web authorship the way a book author would. Many people will read your book, but most won’t call you up or write a letter to say so.
because you haven’t signed mine?

I’ve been here for over a year now, and this is the first time anyone’s kissed me. I’m so glad you were my first cyber-kiss, dlgirl. You’re a seriously good-looking woman.
Guestbooks are indeed passe.
They were a big deal when they first appeared, but now are routine. The personal web page itself is disappointing. Even people with themes can’t get on search engine lists.
There are a few boards where people will critique each other’s sites, but it’s not very satisfying.
Hapy? I signed youre guestbook. Nice site.
Oh, Pipeliner. You’re too kind. You are also very welcome to any other kisses you might like.
The piccy on my home page is NOT ME. That is a guy. In order to see me you have to go to “About Me” at the top of the page. Hmmmm…maybe I should change that picture. But I love it soooo!
Thanks to everyone who signed my new guestbook:)
Yeah! I have people who signed my book:)
You’re very welcome, gwenda. I also want to take this time to thank all of you lovies who have signed my guestbook. Your contributions have made me feel really loved.
