Why hasn't Michael Jackson been assassinated yet?

Everyone seems to hate him so much…and everything he does seems to piss people off more and more. Why hasn’t anyone made an attempt on his life? He seems like an easy target. So he’s got a bunch of Nation of Islam goons hanging around him? So what? Anyone with a rifle and a scope could probably nail him on his property or at any of the public appearances he makes.

I personally love the guy’s music and wish people gave him a break, although I can’t say he doesn’t bring it on himself. The amount of vitriol he gets, though, you’d think he was Satan incarnate. Every now and then I wonder why someone hasn’t tried to kill him.

I think that because most people who would be prepared to carry out an assasination (risking imprisionment or death) would want to do it for a profit.

Many of us prefer watching his life unravel and disintegrate in a very public and humiliating manner.

Even people who are in favor of capital punishment can see that a pre-emptive assasination would be murder.

Well, most would.

(Maybe I shouldn’t speak for others.)

Vigilantism is not a course I favor.
