It was the girlfriend screaming over the phone. “Take him out!”, that Zimmerman interpreted as instructions from God and pulled the trigger.
I’m tried of looking up stuff for you. If you have a reference that the SA wasn’t blindsided when Crump trotted out DeeDee on the 20th, trot it out.
Hon, that’s not how it works. You’re asserting that Clump sat on evidence that he should have reported to the police. All I’m asking you to do is support what you say with facts. If you ain’t got facts, then be a big boy and admit it.
The fact is either the lawyer or the girlfriend didn’t speak to the police for several weeks, and if they actually had evidence that Martin was murdered, they’ve significantly reduced the chance of him being convicted.
Since you seem to want a conviction no matter what, I can’t work out why you’re defending them.

These are supposed to be family pictures of Trayvon. That is supposed to be him with his girlfriend. Unless he was dating a midget, the family claim that he was 6’3" is looking pretty credible.
I wonder if that is the hoodie he was wearing when he died?
How do you know this “fact”? I’m not saying this assumption is necessarily false, but it’s just an assumption. Not a fact.
What’s a fact is that the public didn’t know about this girlfriend until after the investigation was forwarded to the state. But before that, while the investigation was still supposedly in progress, the chief of police had boldly announced that Zimmerman had acted in self-defense and didn’t intend to kill anyone that night. These are facts.
Just so we are straight, your contention is that the Sanford PD was specifically told by Crump that Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend when he was killed, and they did not make any attempt to contact her for weeks?
I returned your serve. Hit the ball or concede the point. I showed evidence that Crump knew about DeeDee’s phone call for 16 days before he put out the press release. You are now posing a scenario that can’t be addressed without access to the SA records. I demonstrated the basis for my scenario. You need to do better.
I’m saying we have no evidence that Crump didn’t alert the cops to the gf as soon as he found out about her.
Has the police accused him of sitting on this information? If not, why should we? Surely they would be in a position to know this. Crump very well could have alerted them to this witness, but for whatever reason, they were not responsive. Why would he keep her a secret? The gain to him by doing this would be…what, exactly? If the cops gave him the brush off, maybe that’s what prompted him to interview her himself, obtain the phone logs, and gather the evidence that the cops chose not to gather.
We also have no evidence that the cops brushed her off. That doesn’t seem to have stopped you from wild ass speculation though.
I can’t find any press from the police accusing Crump of sitting on evidence. Can you?
There’s at least one other witness who claims she DID try to give a statement to the police on multiple occasions after that first night and was repeatedly rebuffed.
Why does that rule not apply to you?
Of course. What else you got?
This is after Angela Corey imposed a news blackout. I don’t understand why people think Crump would call the Sanford police department instead of call SA office. A week after the shooting occured, it seems to me that the SA office would interview her directly. The police statements are simple an aid to the investigation. It is hard to contend that someone actually overheard the conversation between Martin and Zimmerman isn’t relevant.
The trouble is that Crump had her for 16 days before anybody else heard about it. That makes it pretty easy for Zimmerman’s lawyers to argue that Crump coached her testimony and he would have a motive since he is representing the Martin family in their civil suits.
Pretty sure that IS the belt.
Okay. When did teenage boys start wearing belts again?
That Crump would even be in a position to coach her official testimony reflects poorly on the cops. That’s the whole point. If they’d done their jobs competently, they would have beaten Crump to the witness. They had Martin’s phone, presumably could have gotten it’s number from Martin’s dad, and with a little iniative and resourcefulness, could have unlocked it and looked at the call log. From there, it would have been frighteningly easy to call her.
That said, I don’t think the gf’s testimony changes all that much in terms of Zimmerman’s credibility. So folks can argue all that want that Crump could’ve coached her testimony, but so what? The cops are still looking like careless, negligent idiots just the same. And that’s all the Martin’s family needs to show if they sue to the PD.
You keep making shit up, even when several people have said you are wrong. There is no easy way to break a password protected phone to access the call log.
Besides that point, you still have offered no evidence whatsoever that the Police took an unreasonable amount of time to talk to Martin’s girlfriend. Zero Zilch Zippo
I find it interesting that you are addressing this to me when Joel is the one insisting the cops didnt know about this witnesses until the rest of America did.
