I been living in the wilderness 4 a long time now and I have really been enjoying my life. U might wonder why I choose 2 live in wilderness and why am I so happy about it. Well, it might be obvious that since I only make around $800 a month that I can’t afford a place 2 stay. Thats not the whole truth about it. There are a lot of people who choose 2 have a traditional place 2 stay even though they can’t realistically afford it. After they spend their hard earned money on rent, utility bills, phone bill, gas, car insurance, and food, they barely have any money left 2 themselves 2 have fun with. And thats another reason I don’t have a place 2 stay, so I can have money 2 have fun. Life is supposed 2 be enjoyed. Life is not about spending all your money on bills. I like drinking, going 2 bars, going 2 movies, video games, internet, and sex. A person can go crazy without this stuff.
I refuse 2 make rich people richer at the expense of me never being able 2 get financially ahead in life. That is a plot of the Illuminati. And I’m definitely not about 2 let evil rich people keep me from having fun. The money I make is my money and I can spend it how I want.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”
Henry David Thoreau
I never realized that Thoreau was an advocate of escorts.
How do you live in the wilderness out of curiosity? I have looked into RVing but it really doesn’t seem to be any cheaper than living in a cheap apartment. A lot of RV parks charge $300 or so a month, which is insane when you also add in the cost of keeping up the RV (vs $450 or so a month for a 1 bedroom apartment, which is what they start at where I live). Add in the cost to buy and maintain an RV, and you pretty much break even. But on the plus side if you are not tied to a job you can move around in an RV.
Do you have a 4 season tent or something else? Do you live off the grid? Kudos to you if you do, I don’t have the courage to live off the grid.
Once again, this is not a debate. This is clearly the sort of (generally light) personal thoughts that one would find in MPSIMS, so that is where it is going.
Yakuza is a very interesting person, with his own unique perspective on life. This is the first I’ve heard he lives in the “wilderness”, and I have wondered about his living situation, since he first posted here about his beliefs, long term goals, interest (in escorts), and special survival skills.
I wonder if he lives in his car, a tent, or how he manages in the cold, and if he is aware of/ or makes use of any assistance agencies in the town near his wilderness.
[Jack Handy] It was only years later that we learned that those ‘escorts’ were in fact grizzly bears. And I guess that would explain why they accepted either US dollars, or salmon as payment. [Jack Handy]
Wait 1 minute! Yakuza please describe 4 us this wilderness u live in. We thought u were living at bus-stop shelters and all-night convenience stores – a kind of urban wilderness. Now R U telling us that, or R U telling us u live out in the woods? What kind of shelter do u have at night? From another of ur recent threads, u tell us that u don’t have a vehicle (and u are saving money by not having any vehicle expenses), so we know u aren’t living in a RV. Have u found an abandoned trailer out in the forest somewhere? I C in ur thread title you put “wilderness” in quotes – does that mean ur not living in a “real” wilderness?
ETA: I 2 lived in a wilderness for several years, and I LOVED it! But I had a trailer 2 live in and I paid rent 4 it and I had a car and I paid all the expenses for that 2. So it wasn’t the same as what u seem to b saying.
ETA: Remember all those BC comics strips by Jonny Hart, where Peter finds a tree in the woods with a phone hanging on it? I guess that’s how Mr. Yakuza gets on-line 2 share his wisdom with us.
Dang it, tomdebb, make up ur mind! Are u gonna put Mr. Yakuza’s delightful dissertations in2 IMHO or in2 MPSIMS? Come on, 1 place or the other, not scattered all over the place!
U live in wilderness (wherever that’s supposed 2 b) & u don’t have a vehicle. How do u get in2 town 2 go 2 work, or 2 get 2 ur storage place, or 2 meet with ur lady escorts?
May I ask, How do u manage personal hygiene? Where do u bathe or shower, & shave & go 2 the bathroom? Where do u do ur laundry? & how much laundry do u have? Where do u keep the clothes u are not wearing? In ur feral life-style, are u able to keep urself dressed neatly 4 work or 4 ur escorts? Do u get harassed by the police? Do they tell u to spell out ur 2’s and 4’s?
Do u have a mailing address? Where do u get ur mail? Do u have a P. O. box?
Do u belong to a gym? I’ve read that 4 homeless people, it’s a good economic way 2 have a place 2 shower & change clothes. Do u live in a tent?
U are right, I do live in an urban wilderness. Wilderness is just a better way 4 me saying that I don’t have a traditional place 2 stay. I I roam around different wi-fi spots all day and their is a certain 24 wi-fi spot I sleep at at night. All my clothes and other stuff is kept ina storage. My video games are kept in the storage and I go get them when I wanna play my games at a public plug in
I enjoy the luxuries of big-city life, where we have access to complete words and numerals. You mountain folks, having to carve out crude fours and twos in wood, are made of sterner stuff than I am.
Now, I am off to Elizabeth Arden–I hear they have a new supply of yous and fours in.
