In favor of whom, or against whom, is that OP supposed to be biased? For the benefit of those of us who are not aware of any anti-muslim themes in Wesley Clark’s posting history. Are we mad because he’s suggesting that al Qaeda supporters might start blaming the US for car bombings, or because he’s suggesting that the US might be bombing people’ cars and blaming it on al Qaeda?

Include me in the “how is this even slightly anti-Muslim” camp about the thread that SkipMagic closed. I am not aware of any particularly anti-Muslim bias that you ever showed. The only thing wrong with the thread that I can see is that it probably should have been in GD.
But if asking a loaded question is reason to get your thread locked, open threads are going to be few and far between in GD or the Pit.

There is a certain percentage of Dopers who are eager to join a pile-on if they smell blood in the water. Myself included, unfortunately. Some people are rarely assholes, some are assholes some of the time, and some are assholes almost every chance they get.
Although your list of the ones who you believe dislike you doesn’t include many of the “assholes almost all the time” group as I would see it. It doesn’t mean I am right and you are wrong, of course.
FWIW, you might consider a hiatus from the boards, as Lord Ashtar recommends. It helped in my case, I think. And, as Oakminster says, there is always a certain level of sniping from the resident assholes. You really do just have to ignore it.
And frankly, this thread is a good place to start. It’s going to turn into a pile-on. And you are going to have to deal with it. Because I doubt if the mods are going to cut you much slack.

I’m not trying to “rip you to shreds,” but if your self esteem is already pretty low (which it seems to be), it’s not a specially good idea to post when you’re drunk and angry. Everything looks like an attack, but you opened yourself up to one. SkipMagic hardly needs my defense, but that was fairly mild by mod standards. Christ, you’re lucky Lynn and Manhattan aren’t still modding.

dre2xl, no one is telling WC to stop posting. Just to take a step back. I agree that Clothahump took a cheap shot, but c’mon. It’s Clothahump. They’re the only shots he can afford. It isn’t as if anyone even responded to that thread, and if WC’s martyr complex had any basis in truth, plenty of people would’ve lined up to take potshots. We’ve all been insulted here at one time or another. You learn to grow a thicker skin. Pity parties don’t have a very high success rate in the Pit.
