Since you seem a bit slow on picking this up, I’ll try to keep it simple: he is objecting to you randomly attacking him in several different threads, which is not something other posters do.
Then there’s the recent baseball thread, where in addition to his arrogantly ignorant college remark (followed up so nicely by his next post. "Try not to display your semi-ignorance quite so publicly, 'kay? " indeed), we also witness his stunning mastery of the putdown with not one, not two, but twenty-seven rolleyes in a row. What’s the matter, twenty-six lacked the full weight of your meaning, but twenty-eight would have ruined the subtle insouciance?
'course, the problem with pitting someone who’s so continuously pissy is that all too often it’s taken as an affirming compliment.

OK, three remarks of WSLer’s being attacked.
Greg the Bunny: basically, he told you to chill out because his information, if correct, showed you had nothing to be concerned about. Where’s the problem with this?
Revolution 9: considered by many as a track (I hesistate to call it a “song”) enjoyed primarily by people on acid and other mind-bending drugs, or by the Manson family. Alot of casual Beatles fans share that opinion of Revolution 9. So, that was kind of a lame “haha, you use drugs because you like that song” remark. Little contribution to the thread perhaps, but not much in the way of animus, and not alltogether dissimilar from alot of remarks that are busy padding post counts in CS.
Loud cars: well, the remark was definitely a non sequitur in regards to your post, but germane to the thread. The OP in that thread opened by saying she hated loud vehicles, so WSLer’s comment wasn’t totally off-the-wall. It’s not quite as bad as those who indiscriminately drive-by any thread with a completely unrelated anti-Bush remark.
Actually, it appears he posted to the topic of the OP in each of those 3 remarks. The Beatles remark wasn’t directly germane, but it was apparently intended as a quip that Beatles fans would understand, so it’s not far off the OP’s path. He responded to a Greg the Bunny rant with information pertaining to the cause of the rant. He responded to an OP who said she didn’t like loud cars with a remark that he did not like the sound of a car with a Chevy 454 rumbling down the street in the wee hours.
So what are you so offended about? I’ll take Guin’s assessment that this WSLer is Mr. Negative on it’s face, but I don’t see any personal animus in those three remarks sufficient to inspire a pitting. Were there worse examples you simply failed to include?
