Why is conservative media obsessed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Your previous posts, IMO, contradict this claim.

It’s not a defense. Nothing AOC has done needs to be defended. It’s mocking the people who are so “concerned” about a couple minor verbal gaffes by AOC, but never mention the stupid and literally insane shit said every day by the idiot they support.

So, you probably don’t even see you just did it again. Look through my thread where I first brought her up here. It is chock full of Dems “concerned” about her gaffes.

Oh you mean the thread where you dismissed her as a “Sanderista”? Dude, all you do is denigrate her. It’s pretty clear that you feel threatened by her.

That’s not a dismissal. She volunteered for his campaign. Do you think she’d be insulted by the term?

And for god’s sake, just accept that I am not threatened by her. She can’t affect me in any meaningful way and I actually think she is kind of a cool character I would root for in a political drama movie even if I roll my eyes a couple times.

Non-profit organizations? Were they in her neighborhood? Was she a Community Organizer?

An idiot is an idiot, regardless of party.

I think you may have confused inexperience with idiocy.

I don’t have a problem with Dems concerned with her minor gaffes. I do have a problem with “Democrats” “concerned” about her gaffes.

Uh huh. And would it be crazy for me to suspect that you think anyone with “concerns” isn’t really a “Democrat”. The fact is you directed your remark at someone who is not a Trump supporter and you’re not the only one who’s done similar in this thread.

Look you can search their post history if you want to prove me wrong but one of the biggest haters in that linked thread, and in any other thread touching on Sanders, is dalej42 - a highly Dem partisan Sanders hater. Even super accommodating Dem DSeid expresses “concern” that AOC is expecting incumbents to bow down to her leadership.

Yes

I don’t remember saying anything in response to dalej42

I also don’t remember saying anything to DSeid. Your description of his comments also don’t sound like concern about a minor verbal gaffe. Also, why in your quote is “concern” in quotes?

I don’t remember saying that you said anything to DSeid or dalej42.

OK, good talk.

Not really. Seems like you only poorly pretended to understand what I was saying. What you were saying was obvious, Trump supporters have no right to call her idiotic. But you ignored everything I said, it seems.

In which thread? It sure was not this one. He did not come anywhere close to even hinting at an implication of a soupçon of anything at all like that in this thread.

I said the linked thread.

Aren’t these pretty much the same “fringy” ideas as Sanders’? Shouldn’t Millennials listen to a 20-something in addition to a 70-something? And are their ideas really so “fringy and untested”? IIRC, they pretty much correspond to what countries like Germany have already had for many years. If you want “fringy and untested” ideas look to the current U.S.A. regime. Where have present-day GOP “ideas” been tested? In Putin’s Russia? In banana republics?

I am NOT a hard leftist and might not support much of the Sanders-Ocasio-Cortez agenda. So am I concerned? Don’t be silly! The U.S.A. is not turning socialist any time soon. If the “Sanderistas” can push the U.S. from its current bat-shit right-wing politics to a saner right-of-center position, we should be grateful to them.

There’s no doubt plenty of overlap. You do remember Sanders lost the primary, right? So it’s fair to assume that there is plenty of Dems who aren’t on board with Sanders/AOC’s positions?

Oh, and here’s a soupçon from this very thread:

How dare he? How dare he think a bartender is not fully equipped to be a mover and shaker in Congress. Elitism!! Trumpist!!

Eta: that said, her working for Sanders and interning for Kennedy are good thing on her resume. I honestly don’t get how a go getter like this didn’t snag a real political job instead of bartending.

It seems to me that you have a borderline unhealthy obsession with the “bartender” aspect. Strange.
