Why is conservative media obsessed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Wow, now you’re even stooping to calling her a bad bartender, even tho you have no idea if the assertion you made is even remotely accurate. In other words, you just slung a baseless insult at Miss O-C.

As I’ve said already: NO; you don’t get to move the goalposts. And despite your repeated posts in this thread, you’ve failed to yet list 10 “hilariously ill-informed statements” that Miss O-C uttered. I’m not sure why that is proving difficult for you, since, according to you, she “keeps saying” them.

“Those examples don’t count because they’re not ill-informed statements, they’re missteps” sounds like semantics to me.

And it sounds to me like you’ve been talking out of your ass because you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. Prove me wrong.

Alright, Bo, it’s been nice.

No, it hasn’t. It’s been a beatdown of your posts for over a page now because you posted stupid shit you can’t back up. And now you’re running away, not even bothering to take the time to admit your errors or biases, a factor that everyone here will remember when conversing with you in the future.

@ CarnalK — What’s with the hatred against AOC? I’ve not Googled you; are you just another Trumpista? Did she serve you a watered-down drink once? Have you never seen a politician misspeak before? Are you afraid of successful women? Your opinion about AOC holds no interest — we want to understand you.

The right-wing propaganda machine is so powerful now, that even centrists and D voters have normalized some of the fake news and, as here, we watch them parrot right-wing talking points. Sad.

I hope he didn’t pick it up from me (am I contagious?), but Mr. eschereal now seems to be posting sarcasm without emoticons or {s,/s} tags. Don’t blame us please. We watch in dismay as a herd obstinately follows the right-wing liars. In exasperation we resort to sarcasm and laughter.

If Mr. eschereal’s post were a sincere anti-AOC stab, it would have featured innuendo rather than citations; and he would have worked in a dig to remind us that Ms. Ocasio-Cortez was a bartender.

Let’s just keep the personal comments about other posters inside our heads, shall we? That goes for everyone.

I haven’t followed the bickering here but having opened up the last page and seen myself quoted and responded to it I do want to point out the context was in response to a cite of this:

So whatever “super accommodating” is supposed to mean applied to me, my “concern” that she might have the expectation that she can lead a group of 10 to 30 of the extant progressive caucus to function as a cohesive bloc in order to exert the power “to really make strong demands on things” was based merely on what she exactly said.

And I’ll stand by my guess that others won’t follow her as readily as she expects them to and my thought that a Tea Party of the Left would not be a good thing.

She’s an incoming young Congresscritter with lots of ambition and impatient for “change” thrown into the highest realms of media hype very quickly. She’s fumbled under those intense lights a few times which is no big deal and she may have let the attention let herself get a bit full of herself. I’m still thinking she has potential to be an actual leader and force given some time to learn and grow.

Sorry, it was a poorly chosen phrase. By “accommodating” I was just contrasting you with dalej42, you’re just more “big tent” and not such a Sanders hater.

Where, in the article you cited, does it say she wants to lead? She wants there to be a small progressive caucus, certainly, and it’s not out of the question she might want to lead it (although Congress doesn’t tend to work that way) but that’s not “what she exactly said”.

Maybe you should be more concerned that you seem to take the mildest of criticism as hatred.

This post cracks me up! I love what it reveals!

What does it reveal?

That if she had a business, she didn’t build that.

Sure they are.

Cite.

Even AOC says she wants central planning of energy, mass transit, and housing. Which is a good big chunk of the economy.

She is used to people seeing her thru beer goggles. Now, not so much.

Shodan

That you should think yourself worth emulating, 'tis to chortle.
Wait, was that sarcasm? Let me look it up …

Post #288 - look it up. And knock it off.

No, they’re not. CITE

Are there some similarities? Sure. But then there are similarities between a dog and a cat. Doesn’t make them the same thing though.

Err…energy is already a regulated monopoly most places in the US. Certainly government if neck deep in energy policy in the US. Not sure what you think will change.

Mass transit is nearly always government run so…yeah. Amtrak is government run. That leaves you planes and long-haul buses. Does she want the government to own those too?

Housing…need to be more specific what it is she wants to do. Does she want the government to own all houses in the US? I am guessing no but I do not know.

Hey look, another post trying to denigrate Miss O-C because of her previous occupation!

You guys are lucky Bone got here first. I’d have warned the both of you. Now stop it.
