It seems like everytime someone asks a legitimate question here, half of the answers are jokes. Maybe you are not as funny as you think you are. It is frustrating for people looking for real answers.
Yeah, that’s almost as bad as posting a gripe in GQ.
1.) This is the wrong forum for this. It should probably have gone in, hell I don’t know, it’s not really just a technical question, so probably the Pit.
2.) There’s a difference between people chiming in with jokes or wisecracks after a question has been asked and answered, and just hijacking the question from the get-go. (There’s also nothing wrong with including wisecracks in a post which actually answers the question; in this, we merely follow the Master.)
3.) People may also disagree on what constitutes a “legitimate question”. If you come in asking what the third “gry” word is, jokes are going to be the least of your problems. It would help if you could point to something more specific, so we could judge for ourselves whether the question was actually answered before the wisecracks began, whether or not the question was legit to begin with, etc.
Sorry I can’t think of a tongue-in-cheek, wacky answer to that, bud. All I can say is try posting this is the BBQ Pit forum.
