1.) I’m waiting for notorized birth certificates from every person you’ve ever slept with. Preferably timestamped so I can tell that you actually got them pre-sex and didn’t just scramble to dig them up now.
2.) How does anyone know someone “well enough” to know how old they are? Anything can be faked the same way a driver’s license can.
3.) I’d like an apology to everyone in the thread who disagrees with you for you saying that we’re all (a) male and (b) just looking for excuses to fuck teenagers.
4.) I’d like you to explain why you have a chronic inability to address the actual scenario posited by the OP, i.e., someone who looks and acts 21 and has the ID to prove it, but isn’t.
5.) I’d like you to admit your stunning ignorance about the fact that “I didn’t know how fast I was going” IS a valid defense if you can prove that your speedometer was miscalibrated or malfunctioning.
6.) I’d like you to comment on why you think that it’s a valid argument to say that people wouldn’t have problems if they’d all adhere to your personal standards for when you’ll have sex with someone.
7.) I’d like to hear your response about my friend Mike, who according to you is a rapist because his wife looks much younger than her age.
8.) I’d like you to back up your statement that ID photos are (a) always perfectly accurate depictions of people when they’re legit and (b) always inaccurate and detectably false depictiosn of people when they’re not.
9.) I’d like you to explain how you can understand that people enter puberty at a wide range of ages yet refuse to concede that people therefore may appear to be much older than their chronological ages.
10.) I’d like you to respond to my proposal that juries be allowed to decide whether an ignorance defense is plausible, just as they are allowed to judge the plausibility of defenses in other cases.
11.) I’d like to hear your explanation for why you’re refusing to believe more than one doctor who’s telling you you’re wrong.
“Entrapment”, by definition, is leading or tricking someone into committing a crime they did not intend to commit. The fact situation in the OP fits that rather clearly (it’s more or less equivalent to offering someone a baggie of what is represented as oregano and then busting them for marijuana possession).
That would contradict Dio’s entire premise, which is that it’s impossible to falsely pass oneself off as a grownup.

Let us further suppose that this cad then proceeds to seduce your daughter. Would you have considered that he had made a reasonable inference? Why or why not? And if the stated position is not a reasonable one for him to hold, is it any more reasonable for you to hold the same position?

Everything can be faked. Someone might have swapped every item in your house with an identical item in the same position while you were sleeping last night, too. But to universally assume that ostensibly things are fake is called paranoia, and it’s a mental illness.

And yet, a lot of people’s don’t, especially when they’re years out of date. So must we just assume that all of these people with IDs that look more-or-less like them are using fakes and confiscate them?
The latter isn’t a valid point for identifying a fake ID, either, as you’ve been shown repeatedly that it’s entirely possible to have a fake ID that has a picture of the person it’s a fake ID for.
