Why is Kamala Harris seen as unelectable as POTUS?

It’s very ugly to say this, but until the Rs recover their sanity (which may be decades from now), IMO the Ds need to run white men, and only white men.

Right- running straight, Christian white men gives the Republicans 4 less things to club any potential Democratic candidate with. It levels the playing field, so to speak. I mean, nobody here cares one way or another if a gay black Muslim woman were to be elected, but that’s not the way a lot of the country thinks, and the Democratic party would be smart to recognize that, even if it’s anathema to their views.

One of the dirty not-so-secrets of the D party is that the practical wing recognizes that to win the presidency we really, really need to keep putting up just Old(ish) White Men until after the Reactionary Far Right returns to its senses in, oh, say, the year 2085 or so.

It sounds to me like they have decided that it’s in the best interest of the party to prevent minorities from getting nominated.
