Why is the Media ignoring the war in Afganistan..

This war overseas has been going on now far longer than most people would like to admit, (especially those that are still over there doing all the fighting). Throughout all this media coverage, I couldn’t help but notice that the media only seems to be comitted to the fighting thats going on in Iraq.

My Question is: Why isnt the Media saying anything about Afganistan?

Osama Bin Ladin seems to be enjoying himself quite a bit over there by constantly dodging his American Persuers, and taunting them with periodic messages that so far have proven to be untraceable “even with the CIA’ s most advanced technology”. How come the Media seems to have almost all its attention on Iraq and almost none on Afganistan, Bin Ladin, or the Taliban "who seems to be rolling along virtually unscathed by US attacks)

But it is. I get 21,000 hits on Afghanistan at google news this morning, vs 105,000 on Iraq. Two different wars (check the congressional record) in two different phases and running at two different intensities merit two different levels of attention by the press. If violence heats up in Afghanistan, bin Laden is captured, or the free and democratic elections there are delayed again, you’ll see more coverage of that war for a while. Right now, there’s not much going on in the Afghan conflict, while Iraq is red hot.

Since this is a matter of opinion and/or perspective, I’ll move it to IMHO.
