Yes, Biden was pro-life earlier in his career. From what I can tell he’s taken pro-choice positions for about a decade (he voted in favor of the “partial birth” abortion ban in 2003). Al Gore did the same kind of thing earlier in his career. I eagerly await an explanation of why I am expected to care. If he were changing his mind about abortion a few times a week, like some candidates I can think of, that would be something of an issue.

I agree with Biden. Abortion is wrong, but there are some cases where it’s necessary or the lesser evil. In all cases, government should err on the side of individual liberty.

Great minds evolve. Look at Thomas Jefferson over his years; and Abraham Lincoln. Psychological inflexibility-the rigor mortis that we see on the right and some in the far left, is nothing to be proud of. The constant flip flopping within a short period of time- an election cycle- is the sign of lacking an inner core. In mental health terms, splitting; and is a fatal flaw imo.
