Why no US stamps celebrating the Olympic Games?

Yesterday, I found some articles that mentioned that the scandal involving the gymnastics team doctor discouraged some companies from wanting to join as sponsors. And this article from February 2018 talks about how some long-time sponsors like AT&T, Citibank, Budweiser and Hilton dropped their sponsorships.

I’m sure companies love the association. I just wonder if there is an actual increase in sales to justify it.

Marketers don’t wonder, they test and crunch the numbers. As for preaching to the choir, I have two words for you “repeat customer.” Preaching to the choir is the point.

Coins, too.

The way I heard it was that while they gave away a lot more Quarter Pounders – the prize for gold medals – than they expected it wasn’t as annoying as you’d think because a lot of people bought a drink and fries to go with the free burger.

The San Jose Mercury ran a story about two franchisees in San Francisco who had plenty of burgers but ran out of buns with no way to order more. One of them could drive a semi-tractor so they drove to Oakland where the contract bakery was and drove off with a truck load. Security was a apparently a little lax. After dividing the loot they drove the truck back, leaving it a block away and telephoned where the bakery could find it.
