You know, I never really thought of putting Haig in the crank category, as anyone you can trust with NATO is not going to be a crank. Those guys are capable of starting WWIII and engage in a lot of diplomacy.
But Haig did have major problems, a very inflated ego, overly sensitive, and always thought that he should be the man in charge.
Mark Wicks (L) got 5.7% of the Montana vote. If he had thrown his support behind Rob Quist (D), the election may have been decided by less than 2% of the vote which could have sent shivers through Republican circles. (Trump won Montana by 20 points over Clinton).
Wicks had to know he had zero chance before the election.
