Why the animosity between Muslims and Jews?

That last line should read “Note”, not “Not”. It’s late.

you are spot on about the imported propaganda, not only is there widespread use of the (now discredited) Protocols of Zion, but I read in The Times on Saturday that Hitlers Mein Kampf has now been translated into Arabic and is being published in the ME.Cite

This is a very worrying turn of events, and one that can only inflame an already volatile situation.

‘Mein Kampf’ is a bestseller in Turkey.

Radio Islam is kind enough to give us the web version of that piece of trash.

And I told exactly the same thing to an american tourist I met some months ago. If the situation in Spain is similar to the situation in Paris, a significant part of the petty street crime, scams and begging (more specifically children beggars or “mothers” begging with small kids) is indeed the province of “gypsies from elsewhere”, more precisely currently illegal immigrants gangs from Romania, living for a part in subburban slums.

Now, you’re free to think I’m an ugly racist for making such a statement, but there are communities that generate criminals of

If the situation in Spain is similar to the situation in Paris, a significant part of the petty street crime, scams and begging (more specifically children beggars or “mothers” begging with small kids) is indeed the province of “gypsies from elsewhere”, more precisely currently illegal immigrants gangs coming mostly from Romania (which has a large gypsy minority, something like two millions if I’m not mistaken, out of maybe 5 millions living in central Europe) living for a part in subburban slums.
Now, you’re free to think I’m an ugly racist for making such a statement, but there are communities that generate criminals of a specific kind.

I like the way you’re using India, where most of the violence is commited against the muslims by radical hindus as an evidence that muslims are hateful.

Soon, you’re going to tell us that the example of russian pogroms, for instance, show that Judaism was at the time a very intolerant faith prone to violence.

Turkey, like many Muslim countries, was once very hospitable towards the Jews who lived there (far moreso than most Christian European countries). There was occasional friction, of course, but until the revolt of Sabbatai Zevi (many alternate spellings) Jews usually lived peacefully under the Turks. After the late 17th century that changed radically and altered Jewish history and arguably Jewish/Islamic relations significantly.

Thanks for the link, Sampiro. I’ve read some of Turkey’s history.

I was reacting on post #42.

Read my words “Note the problems in the Pakistan/India area between Muslims and Hindu…” are there, or are there not "problems in that area between Hindu and Muslim?

OK. I misread your post, since I thought only about the problems within India, and not about the Kashmeer issue.
However, given that the Kashmeer issue goes both way, and that in India, muslims are the victims I’m still not sure how it can be used as an evidence that “the way Muslims are taught in many areas makes them a very intolerant faith”. Using it as an evidence that muslims are hated everywhere by non-muslims would make more sense.
