It used to be that you could choose three Safe Search settings: Strict, Moderate, and Off. But now when you click the main Settings drop down box or go to the Settings page, you get a single on/off check box- and Off gives you moderate safe search. My default browser is Google Chrome and yes I tried an incognito window. The kicker is that when I tried Windows Explorer I could get the original three-choice menu at first- and now I can’t! WTF???
There is a GQ thread about this. Some answers have been provided, though they seem a bit inadequate.
