Why was the Monty Python/LOTR thread closed?

It doesn’t want to go on the cart! It’s not dead! It’s getting better! It feels fine! The thread thinks it will go for a walk!

It’s just resting.

And now, with the slightly more obscure reference-
So it is! Here’s some vouchers for your trouble.

If people knew what line that was it would be a spoiler…

Actually, if I may make a meddlesome suggestion, the closed thread seems to have sort of continued here. If it can still spark a few reactions, perhaps it could be re-opened (possibly this thread could be merged with it)? None of my business, really, but suggestions never hurt.

Welcome to the boards!

I expect you’re right. I had misunderstood the zombie policy as it applies to Cafe Society. I’ll go do that now.

I hear “This Year’s Model” is available …

Psst, the Poster Soon to be Formerly Known as SpinyNorman… I think you meant to use a slightly different word there.

Or at least, I hope you did.

If you didn’t mean a different word, please don’t tell us more details.

All study of history is a form of necrophilia, or love for the dead.

That actually does bring up a good question. “Philia” is, after all, not supposed to indicate a sexual love.

Well, that really clears up a few questions I had about self-described bibliophiles. I’m a pretty open minded guy, but I never could work out the mechanics of that one.
