Why was this coach suspended?

North Dakota has suspended men’s basketball play-by-play radio announcer Paul Ralston for two games after he used the phrase “choke job” following an overtime loss to Northern Arizona.

I don’t understand the problem. Is it that it was too-harsh language for the Snowflakes? or am I missing something?

The announcer is an employee of the university. The coach and athletic director were not pleased by someone who is paid out of the athletic department’s budget telling the coach over a statewide radio network that the basketball team “choked.”

I suppose that this is the answer, but it seems like I’ve heard this and worse watching games. Then again, that’s generally NOT on school-sponsored media. Guess you’re right.
