It’s been so long since I’ve used Acrobat that I couldn’t tell you. I got so tired of Acrobat being a resource hog a couple of years ago that I never looked back after ditching it.
What do you use to wrestle with .pdf files, if anything, Tuckerfan? Or do you just leave 'em alone?
If they can be downloaded, I’ll download and open them manually. If not, then I’ll use Firefox (I only use IE for MS sites which refuse to work with Opera for political reasons).
I know Icey has a clever method as she uses them all the time.
I’d just like to dive in and say that Open Office can read and edit - also create, .pdf files. Which is why I use it for just that purpose and possibly why the Linux machines have no problems with them.
It is just Firefox+Vista that seems to be defeated by them.
