Why would anyone buy CD rom whenyou can play online?

I mean that who wants to be a millionaire thing, you can play it online. It’s fun, too. it let’s you start over if you miss a question.

      • It seemed to be released pretty fast. My guess is that it didn’t take a lot of time to write; trivia games with question-response formats aren’t real difficult to code. PC Gamer says it only costs $20 retail anyway.
  • Also note that some people are still on AOL and experience constant busy numbers, random kick-offs and hangs, but I am informed that you can avoid these by uninstalling all other network software. Such a deal! - MC, ex-AOL member.
  1. For some people, an ISP is a long distance call. A CD-ROM keeps down the phone charges.

  2. The CD-ROM is probably quicker than reading the web pages, especially with a slow modem.

  3. People may not want to tie up the phone lines while playing a game.
