Why you be dissin' Jersey?

I’m a transplant from the wide-open spaces of South Dakota, so I guess you could say I have a variety of experiences to compare.

I miss those wide-open spaces and probably always will. There is just something about being alone in a universe of grass and sky with the wind ruffling your hair. But I am enjoying New Jersey also. I live in Jackson, about 30 miles from the ocean and an hour from the horror that is Newark (which, frankly, was my sole impression of New Jersey before I moved here). When you get away from the “city-fied” areas, this is actually a beautiful state. I love the beaches, the diners, the trees (yes, there are tons of trees in this state), the things to do and see…lots of things.

I just wish there weren’t so many people here.

Oh yeah, NJ has trees. Visit the Pine Barrens some time. :slight_smile:

I met a person from NJ once. She was an arrogant narcissistic jerk.

I figured that the good folks of NJ had expelled her.
