WhyNot, R.N.

Congrats!

Well done!

Congratulations! BTW, does this look infected to you? I keed!

WoooooooOOOhooooOOOOO!!! Congrats!

W00t! W00t!

If I decide to get sick, I’ll head to Chicagoland.

Well, well. The outlier congradulates you, and sincerly hopes that you find the satisfaction that he has in this profession.

You are mistaken in saying that you are minimally competent, however, as you have already demonstrated that you are above that standard.

BTW, I PM’d you awhile back, did you get that?

Thank you, everyone! Definitely chocolate. Infected chocolate. Let me remove that for you, just to be safe…

  1. Can you say nervewracking?!

(The NCLEX, for you non-nursey types, is a fancy-schmancy computerized test that’s anywhere from 75 to 285 questions. If you answer a question wrong, you get an easier question, but if you can’t remain above the “line of minimum competence” enough, the computer gives up on you and stops giving you questions. OTOH, if you get a question right, you get a harder question, and if you’ve stayed up above the “line of minimum competence” long enough, the computer gives up and stops giving you questions. So all I knew from getting the minimum number of questions was that I did really really well **or **really really badly. I had to wait 3 days to find out which! Three agonizing, nail biting days where I was biting the head off anyone who spoke to me. Just to make it worse, several people who tested the same time as me and passed got access to their results several hours before mine was available for some reason…so for a few hours, I was sure I had flunked.)

ETA: outlierrn, I did get your PM, but as I said, am just back with computer access, and my internet connection is wobbly. I will get back to you, I promise. Give me a couple of days to get my focus back.

Well done!

Lordy, yes, 75 and out! Nervewracking does not even begin to cover it! Still we had it better than the old paper-and-pencil days I heard SO MUCH about when I was studying. some of them waited 2 months or more:eek::eek::eek:

Congratulations! I know you’ve worked hard at this for a long time.

Hey, hey!! Congratulations! Be proud of yourself, you’ve done very well.

Believe it or not, I’ve been (clandestinely) rooting for you for a long time.

Congratulations.

Your posts on medical topics have always been right to the point, as far as I could tell.

I’m proud of (for?) you.

Congratulations! And best of luck on the job search. I was recently on the market until just about a week and a half ago, and I know how stressful it can be. Please let us know when you find something.

congrats!
excellent achievement.

Hooray, congrats!

I can point you at a particular hospital’s job board if you like  but don’t know of any specific vacancies.

My mother was an RN, as well as her sister, my aunt. I have two cousins and one second cousin who are RNs. The one cousin, both of the women he has been married to are RNs.

I’m glad it’s you, not me. See, I approve of blood and so on, just not people wearing it! I could never hack the stress.

Congratulations!

Woohoo! That’s awesome! Congratulations!

Congrats!

Came in here thinking, “I didn’t know WhyNot was British. Or that she was interested in joining the Navy.”

Congrats!

Many congrats, and happy hunting. Your field needs workers more than mine does, so you should be working soon!
