I passed my NCLEX exam! Illinois has agreed with the exam providers that I am at least minimally competent, and thus licensed me as a Registered Nurse. (Actually, I passed the exam three weeks ago, but I’ve been without internet access for the month of July…)
Yes, this message was brought to you by not-so-stealth bragging. But since so many of you have been cheering me on, talking me off clocktowers and generally being good sports through this whole process, I thought I’d let y’all know. Thank you all so much for your support, truly.
Roomie has been an RN for a year, and she’s working on her BS. Jobs seem to be fairly easy to find (here), but there are more opportunities once you have your BS and two years experience.
