The last apartment I lived in - the previous tenants not only took all the TP, but they took the spindles, leaving just the two “ears” sticking out of the wall, from both bathrooms.
They also took the shower curtain and rod, kitchen sink stopper and faucet aerator, all but one phone jack and the cable TV wiring.
They were kind enough to leave the dead mouse under the sink, at least.
An apartment before that, the previous tenants had effectively taken the refrigerator. Between being shown the place and signing the lease, the management company discovered that a squid had been left to rot in the fridge, so when we did the move-in walkthrough, there was no fridge. At least we had a new fridge later that day.
