Wife wants to become a stay at home mom - I'm not comfortable

“No amount of money ever bought a second of time.” ~Howard Stark (Iron Man aka Tony Stark’s dad)

Unless you work 60 hours a week, all housework, yard and bills should be divided in such a way that you are each spending the same amount of time doing it all. Cooking, cleaning and taking care of the kids is probably consuming 4-6 hours of her day. That’s nearly another fulltime job.

To me it looks like she’s doing most the work and she’s probably exhausted. Add a child with a problem and she’s become desperate enough to reach out to sketchy people who will tell her what she wants to hear. Exhausted people start doing weird things.

If you want her to remain working, you absolutely must split the work more evenly. That includes any type of therapy you end up doing with the child.
