Wiki-Sprint from Article X to Article Y

Similar to my last thread, Wiki-walk to philosophy.

The object: Link two randomly chosen articles on Wikipedia (English) in the fewest steps possible.

Rules:
1 - The articles will chosen by clicking the Random Article Link twice. I’ll post the first two articles.
1.1 - The Ending Article must have a link to it (no stubs). Please poke around to make sure there is a link to your ending article.

2 - There will be five attempts to link the two articles, whoever links the two articles in the fewest steps wins. If, after two days, there are fewer than five entries, a winner will be declared.

3 - You may not edit any of the linking articles. We’re on the honor system here.

4 - No go-backs. Just plow straight through, so think through your strategy first. Again, we’re on the honor system here.

5 - You must list your path in the following format:

[QUOTE=example 1]
Start - [Article X]
1 - [Link 1]
2 - [Link 2]
3 - [Link 3]
Et Cetera
End - [Article Y]
[/QUOTE]
So an entry will look like:

[QUOTE=Example 2]
Start - Social and Liberal Democrats leadership election, 1988
Link 1 - United Kingdom
Link 2 - World Trade Organization
Link 3 - World Trade Organization accession and membership
Link 4 - Japan
Link 5 - Samurai
End - Kiri sute gomen
[/QUOTE]

6 - The winner will post two more articles to be linked.

The first two Articles:
Start - Claudette Tardif
End - Markvippach

It’s harder than it seems. I don’t expect this entry to vie for any honors, but I’ll post it anyway.

Start - Claudette Tardif
1 - Liberal Party of Canada
2 - Liberalism in Canada
3 - Liberalism
4 - Liberalism in Europe
5 - Liberalism in Germany
6 - Germany
7 - Thuringia
8 - Sömmerda (district)
End - Markvippach

Start - Claudette Tardif
1 - Francophone
2 - France
3 - Germany
4 - Thuringia
5 - Sömmerda (district)
End - Markvippach

Start - Claudette Tardif
1 - Canadians
2 - Germans
3 - Thuringian dialect
4 - Thuringia
5 - Sömmerda (district)
End - Markvippach

Nuts, that didn’t go as planned.

Start - Claudette Tardif
1 - Canadians
2 - Germany
3 - Thuringia
4 - Sömmerda (district)
End - Markvippach

Down where it talks about immigration I found the link to Germany.

It looks like Gedd won this round.

Cool, first time I won at something on the SDMB!

So Round 2 gives us:

Start - Law of Hong Kong
End - Ed Justice

Looks like that might be a tough one.

Start - Law of Hong Kong
1 - Judiciary of Hong Kong
2 - English language
3 - Scotland
4 - Roman Catholicism in Scotland
5 - Catholic Church
6 - College of Cardinals
7 - Society of Jesus
8 - List of Jesuit institutions
9 - Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities
10 - Gonzaga University
End - Ed Justice

I took a wrong turn right at the start. I was hoping to get to a more general page when I clicked on the “Judiciary” link on the first page.

This is extremely fun. I got it in 6 clicks:

Start - Law of Hong Kong
1 - Quebec
2 - US State
3 - District of Columbia (redirects to Washington DC)
4 - Washington Redskins
5 - 1937 NFL Championship Game
End - Ed Justice

It’s been more than two days, and neither story nor Maus have shown, so I’ll go ahead and move on.

Start - Kostas Kyriacou
End - Sussex, New Jersey

Sorry, Real Life had intervened.

Start - Kostas Kyriacou
1 - Tassos Papadopoulos
2 - United Nations
3 - United States
4 - New Jersey
End - Sussex, New Jersey

No big. You laid it out where others can take over. I just thought you might want to announce the winner again.

Start - Kostas Kyriacou
1 - Cyprus
2 - United States
3 - New Jersey
End - Sussex, New Jersey

Start - Kostas Kyriacou
1 - Greek language
2 - United States
3 - New Jersey
End - Sussex, New Jersey
