I thought I’d have to find a picture of him from the 3rd grade, but I flipped on “The Thing” with Kurt Russell, and heard a guy talking and looked up. It was Wilford’s voice coming from a guy without a 'stash. I didn’t even recognize him even after I knew it was him from his voice.
Weird, wild stuff.

I thought everyone knew that Wilford Brimley lost his moustache to Jamie Hyneman in a poker game.
Might as well get this out of the way:
World’s best mustache (And no, I’m not talking about longest or whatever. BEST. You probably can guess whose it is without looking.)
Same guy sans mustache. (Aagh, my eyes!! Put it back!!)
I’ve never found out if this is intentional or not, but Sam Elliott’s character in The Contender (where he appears clean-shaven) was named Kermit. And yeah, his mouth movements looked exactly like Kermit the Frog’s.
Wow, it’s amazing how much he looks like Billy Bob Thornton without the 'stache.
Or Tom Selleck with moustache (looking cool) vs Tom Selleck without a moustache (looking like a … well the picture speaks for itself)
Or Clark Gable with moustache and without moustache.
