On the plus side, here’s another issue that Obama can take credit for. “You’re worried about Sharia right? It has gained zero traction during my presidency. You’re welcome.”
Again, not appropriate for GD. I’ll be shutting this down if the OP doesn’t return and make a coherent argument some time soon.
Marley, are you playing the part of Vladimir or Estragon?
“Bum-fuck Egypt,” meaning “out in the middle of nowhere.” Similar in meaning to “Hicksville” or “out in the boondocks.”
Whichever one says “We could hang ourselves.” :smack:
I’m hoping he’ll at least come back and give us the definitive spelling of the Evil Terrorist Mastermind Org. Apparently they’ve taken up the mantle of the late unlamented dictator of Libya in the confusion-sowing business.
Estragon it is, then.
Marley, try saying: " People are bloody ignorant apes. "
Did it feel natural? You might be Estragon.
Ah! Doesn’t work well together with a named country though. “Bum-fuck Egypt, Norway” sounds more like a roadtrip porn movie
Of course, outside of The BBQ Pit on the SDMB you do not have the right to say another poster is stupid, so you are not going to do that, here.

Aaargh! Singular! The Chinaman is wily and inscrutable. The Jew is… whatever it is that he is. And so on. For Dummies indeed.
“BFE name of a place” is a common construction in colloquial American speech. I suppose “Bum-fuck Norway” would work better.
I want to go back in time and shoot whatever moron thought “q” was a good transliteration for the Arabic letter “qaaf”. Fucking extraneous u’s.
Qwit your complaining. Or should I say, less QQ please…
We need to be more concerned with coyotes.
Quyotes
To be fair, though, the roman letter “q”, like the archaic Greek “qoppa” and the Hebrew “qof”, is the most closely related palaeographically to Arabic “qaaf”. All of them are descended from the same character in the ancient Phoenician alphabet.
Just because the Romans decided that they weren’t going to use “q” except in the “qu” digraph to represent the “kw” sound doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t use “q” by itself as the historically appropriate transliteration of qaaf/qof/qoppa.
Qwat?
Al-Quyote does conjure up the image of Osama as Wile E.
If only the US had an amendment to the Constitution that prohibited the establishment of a national religion…
That would be awesome!
