I set my glass of club soda down for just a second, and when I turned around Shnuggy Kitty had licked some of it! There wasn’t no alcohol in it or nothing. I’m worried. Will it hurt her? Is club soda good for cats? Should I give her some more? What’s the dope?
Well, aside from some cat-sized belching, I can’t imagine any harm.
Club Soda is just water and CO[sub]2[/sub], so kitty is just fine.
Bryan Ekers and Tapioca Dextrin, thank you for your responses. I’m so glad it won’t make her sick. [giggle] So my kitty’s going to be belching away, huh? She’s so bad, I tell you.
Club soda - as opposed to seltzer water - has salt in it. Seltzer is just plain carbonated water.
I can’t imagine that the small amount of salt would hurt your cat but it’s probably not a good idea to fill his water bowl with it.
Those naughty kitties! You can’t take your eyes off them for one second!
Think of how clean her fur will be next time she licks herself. No more pesky stains.
I would think the name Shnuggy Kitty hurts your cat more than club soda ever could.
My kitty is irresistably drawn to open soda cans or glasses of fizzy stuff. I think it’s the fizzy sound that attracts her. She’s never tried to drink it, though. She just wants to hear what’s going on in there.
