Will Excel do this?

I want to be able to add a copy of cheques into an excel spreadsheet. Basically the same way that comments work. I suppose a short explanation might help.

Say I send out an excel spreadsheet to salespeople that have the amount of money their various clients have paid. Right now the salepeople will often come and ask for a photocopy of the received cheque. What would be great would be if the picture of the cheque could be attached to the spreadsheet. They look up the amount, they click on the comment mark and up pops a PDF of the cheque.

Is this possible? If not with excel then with any program? Thanks.

You could embed a hyperlink within Excel that would direct them to another website with hosted .pdfs of the cheques.

You would not even have to link to a web site, Excel’s hyperlinks can point to local files.
